When I say, I love my Mom,
I love a Woman. When I say, I love my Wife, I love a Woman. When I Say, I love
my sister, I love a Woman. When I say, I love my daughter, I love a Woman.
How can I hold anything
other than just Love for woman, in my heart, if I know it’s her feminine
X that make me a complete XY male genetically.
If I know, it’s her
unconditional love and care which made me feel secure and confident since my
childhood and taught me to love unconditionally. If I know, it’s her being
mischievous made me responsible when I grew up fighting with her and taught me
to be naughty and playful at times. If I know, it’s her companionship, which
made me mentally strong enough to succeed the journey of life and taught me to
be a true companion. If I know, it’s angelic look of her eyes and the way she
used to hold my index finger with her tiny soft hand, which made me feel I am a
superhero and taught me to have faith blindly.
How can I hold anything
other than just Love for a woman, in my heart, If I know I hold a bit of her in
every bit of me.
Her day starts with taking
care of her father, wishing good day to her brother, getting her kid ready for
school, preparing breakfast and assembling her husband’s stuff. Her day grows
in office taking notes of head office guidelines, dealing with stubborn boss
and envy colleagues, handling work pressure amidst the office politics and
still leaving the office with a smile on her face. Her day ends with ensuring
everything is perfectly fine at its place.
My day today started with
wishing all the beautiful women in my life a very happy Women’s day. My day
grew up then reading about so many rape news on a single page in a single city,
self help women group teaching in villages, most successful women in every
field of society, women protesting for their rights as well as for others,
discussing same with my colleagues and showing concern, sharing few laughs with
my males and females colleagues with whom I share a good bond and ignoring
others and leaving the office with weekend plans in mind. My day ended
listening my mother’s as usual complaint about not eating properly, daughter’s
complaint about not coming home earlier and wife’s complaint of her being
getting so tired every day, but I wonder how she still manage to give a warm hug
and a sweet smile even then.
Oh dear woman, thank you
so much for being with me and believe me, Everyday I try my level best to make
you smile. Dear mom, Everyday I try to take you to temple though I fail to give
you enough time. Dear friend, Everyday I try to keep you away from office
pressure, share your work and making sure you leave home early to take care of
your family or stay with you and walk along if you are left alone working late
in the office. But I know I too behave indifferent sometimes. Dear Sister,
Everyday I try to make you believe in yourself and be an Independent and
successful girl though I feel jealous for mom and dad being more affectionate
to you. Dear daughter, Everyday I try to take care of you my little angel,
though I make you feel that I am being protective and fail to realize you have
grown up now. Dear wife, Everyday I try to help you in everything you do,
though I fail to take some burden off from your shoulders.
Oh beautiful woman of my
life, On this day, I promise I will try again and again and again to make your
life easier and this world a better place for you to live. After all it’s not
only today, everyday is your day, everyday is a women’s day.
Simply Arsh
